On the 16th November 2000, 402 Pumper and Composite were responded to a house alight at Corlette. The Pumper on arrival found a two storey house well totally involved in fire. Flames had broken through the roof and fire threatened adjoining properties on each side, two thirty eight mm hose lines were deployed for protection. Further assistance was requested for two Rural Fire Service appliances.
On arrival of the composite, two lines were deployed on a direct fire attack. Control of the fire was accomplished after fifteen minutes, mopping up and final extinguishment took another ninety minutes. The property was totally gutted and subject to further Police Forensic examination.
